Thankful Thursdays…Forever Grateful for My Soulmate
Forty-seven years ago I was given a gift who turned out to be my soulmate. Larry and I never had a date. We lived in the same apartment complex and began as friends…playing water volleyball on weekends and going out for group dinners with friends in the complex.

While I never would have imagined ending up with someone like Larry, he is without a doubt the man I was meant to be with.
He is what I would call a Renaissance man…Fighter pilot, diver, boater, hunter, fisherman, builder, and baker. He also sewed a lightweight tent in anticipation of a backpacking trip!
With YouTube’s help, he built a generator system using inverters tied into our breaker box. He loves to take things apart and fix them. Just a few years ago he finally got a welding machine. Actually he bought two of them.
I love that he is ethical, honest and shoots straight with people. There is no pretense about him.

When people ask about our relationship and why it works, I suggest they find someone who is first a friend. Someone you like and respect. If that isn’t there it’s an uphill battle.
I thank God every night for this wonderful gift he gave me.
I cannot think of anyone else I would
rather spend my life with.

Love is just a word until someone comes
along and gives it meaning.
