Thinking of Thanksgiving Dinner

By

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and Denver is enjoying a light snowfall.  We aren't expecting much, maybe 1-2".   Just makes the landscape beautiful!

My refrigerator is full, ready to begin the cooking in the morning.   My friend brought over the smoked turkey last night, and enjoyed a halibut dinner.

Trivia Question:   How many calories do you think almost everyone consumes on Thanksgiving:

1,500            or        2,000         or       2,500         or         OVER 3,000 calories?

What is everyone cooking?    Turkey or ham?   Dressing?   Sweet potatoes?    Rolls and cranberries?     Green bean casserole?     What kind of dessert - pies?

Good morning, Joan. I believe the average person consumes over 3,000 calories on Thanksgiving if memory serves me right. As for what I'm cooking? Not a blessed thing! Chris and I are off to the Ballantyne Hotel's ballroom where they serve an amazing Thanksgiving Day buffet.

Hi Joan,
You know that I know the answer to the calorie question. I just don't want to exercise that hard, so I'll try to control myself at dinner. I may have told you, I'm going to dinner at the park restaurant today with friends and to other friends in the park tomorrow.

We had one turkey breast that my son cooked - I made the sweet potatoes and stuffing and we had broccoli as a nod to a green vegetable - and I made the cranberry sauce too - dessert was fun - a piecaken  -

Who is counting or thinking about calories?! 😃3,000 are allowed. I am sure people were looking for seconds on this delicious meal.
