Mauled By Turkeys

Minot North Dakota harbors a lot of wild turkeys. Let me point out that there is a BIG difference between wild turkeys and those raised for consumption. A wild turkey is smart in it's own element, turkeys raised for consumption are about as wise as if they had a full frontal lobotomy.

I found this newsreel about a Pittsburg Turkey gang. I found it amusing.

My daughter has a dozen or so that frequent her yard every once in a while. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thanks for sharing, make it a great Black Friday and enjoy your weekend!

Good morning Bob. Wild turkeys are indeed wise. I was involved in a 15,000 acre tree farm in California. Hunting wild turkeys was legal on that land. The land to the west of us it was not legal. We allowed a few hunters to hunt from time to time. One day I watched as the hunters approached a large flock of turkeys. They, as a group, flew over the fence, landed and gazed back. Luckily they were unable to give the hunters a finger, ha, ha. Enjoy your day.

We have a bunch of wild turkeys in our area but one of the neighbors now feeds them so they just stay at his house and rarely venture out.

Hmm 🙄 I wonder if one disappears every now and then Kat Palmiotti . Have they ever invited you over for turkey dinner?

Haha, Bob "RealMan" Timm - they have not. I'm not a fan of wild turkey, though. It's very very lean and gets dry very easily. It's hard to cook!

Good morning, Bob... you totally cracked me up with that full frontal lobotomy comment! Trust you enjoyed your turkey yesterday.

I did and I loved your eCard. BTW I learned that term when I was 18. My favorite watering hole was a dingy little place that had fifty cent draw beer. In the restroom was graffiti that said "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me then have a total frontal lobotomy" . It stuck with me Nina Hollander, Broker my Love.

Hello Bob and thanks for sharing the video with us here in the Rain.  I remember a friend shot a turkey and we had it for Thanksgiving, he shot it with his 12 guage shotgun and the pellets were in some of the bird yet.  LOL

I am surprised Endre Barath, Jr. as some of the properties you have shown look pretty remote.

I love that you caught that Fred Griffin Florida Real Estate and just as surprising is the cat walking by at the same time. I doubt the cat can read the no hunting sign.

We have a community of wild turkeys in my neighborhood.  They simply don't move for us, and I'm certain they'd eat us if they could.

Thanks for the smile and laugh Myrl Jeffcoat , They may not eat us but Turkeys have been taking us to court for years... oh wait, that's attorneys.
