Well, since it is Thanksgiving evening, I could be thankful for antacids and lazy Boy recliners..and I am thankful for these!! Of course I am thankful for my niece who prepared a feast to beat the band!! However, I already mentioned family (as part of people) in a prior post.
Soooo, my third post is being thankful for the abundance that we enjoy in this country. We have the broadest array of food, culture -art, music, clothing styles, etc. I have visited over 80 countries and no other country has the abundance that we enjoy. Virtually everything is available here. Whatever you want, you can probably get it.
So perhaps "abundance" was not the best term. Maybe "availability" is better. An other example was an electrical emergency on Thanksgiving Eve. I was able to get an electrician at 7 PM on Thanksgiving Eve. This does not happen in other countries.
Despite declining customer service, we, as a country, still have most things available at most times of the day or night. We probably do not appreciate this enough.
Part of the thanks in this segment is for wonderful holiday traditions. Many countries have more holidays than the US but few have Thanksgiving. It is a special time of year because everyone slows down just a little and most people are friendly generous and kind during this time.
We can also be thankful for ActiveRain. It brought so many wonderful people together!
