Why First Impressions Matter When Selling Your Long Island Home

By
Real Estate Agent with The Top Team @ Charles Rutenberg Realty 255 Executive Dr, Plainview NY 11803
The first impression of a home can make all the difference in a sale. From curb appeal to interior staging, a well-presented property attracts more buyers and higher offers. When a home feels inviting and cared for, it shows buyers that it’s worth their time and investment.

First impressions can make or break a sale, and putting in the effort ensures your property stands out from the crowd. A little extra effort can transform a listing from overlooked to irresistible.

The Smiths’ house sat on the market for months with no offers with a different agent. The lawn grew wild, the paint peeled, the front door was all rotted and chipped, the listing photos lacked personality and didn’t capture the home’s true potential. The home needed a few updates and fresh touches to make it more inviting and highlight its true potential.

After we spoke to the sellers, they refreshed the landscaping, we helped them with staging, and with our sharp marketing, the home sold within days, above asking price. If you let things slide, your brand’s appeal fades.

Stay sharp, stay polished, and let your effort shine!

Now, let's get your Long Island Home Sold!

Good morning Sheila and Larry... sellers often don't understand how important those first impressions are. I've had buyers in my car who have refused to enter a home when we've driven up because of the poor curb appeal.

Good morning Larry and Sheila. Reminds me of the old Fram Oil Filter commercial "you can pay me now or pay me later" In this case some upfront expenditure will net the seller more money and sooner. Or, they can slug it out take less, spend more time owning it, and have the anxiety. Choose wisely. Enjoy your day.

Hello Sheila and Larry - first impressions are important.  And they matter differently to each.  When an initial response transforms into a lasting one and an eventually successful real estate transaction, I'd say that's Mission Accomplished.

Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400 you only get one shot at a first impression, so it is very important to make it a good one.

This is great information to share with home sellers. A fresh coat of paint and new hardware for the front door is usually a smart investment.

Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400  first impressions are always important, I remember 26 years ago, going to an open house in West Hollywood, and the listing agent was wearing flip flops shorts and a T-shirt... he was super successful and I showed up from being a Boston Realtor with a suit and tie on:) now if you see me it is blue jeans a t-shirt and if it is a listing over $3million a sports jacket:)) Endre

Thank you all for your comments on First Impressions. Most of our clients know right away if it's the right place for them as soon as we enter the home.

First impressions matter so much!  I have had buyers not even want to see a home we were scheduled to see because of the exterior appearance or the surrounding homes, haha.
