Becoming experienced over the years in writing Blog Posts - via training at Active Rain - I had decided to write an instructional post on AR about the newly required BOI Report. Then I thought that it might be beneficial information for neighbors as well if I mentioned it locally on the Nextdoor app. The form is so simple to complete but the fines for not filing are very high.
Here is what I posted on ND:
DON'T FORGET -- if you have a small business that is an LLC, a small corporation or an LLP, you must file the Beneficial Owners Information Report no later than by December 31, 2024. VERY EZ to complete - no financial info required - however, the fines for not filing are substantial. Some extensions are available for victims of Hurricane Helene. Quite a few comments on Nextdoor about the BOI Report and also the one I wrote about Hurricane Helene. Then, interestingly enough, I was able to check readership because Nextdoor charts activity. So I went to their website to see how many views the Hurricane Helene post had generated.
That's a lot of eyeballs for me on one post. The Beneficial Owners Information post had reached 1.3K the last time I looked. Makes one question if Nextdoor would be a good advertising point for my real estate company.
I agree with Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400 - only the number of years is different. Her post entitled BUT WHO IS COUNTING talks about her eighteen years blogging. I'm only at thirteen years but I totally agree with her last sentence in the post linked above.
I like to post at night, and waking up to comments
makes me smile and starts my day off right!
