Wordless Wednesday…Upside Down or Rightside Up?

There are times when it’s hard to tell what’s rightside up or upside down.

You’ve looked at the same person, house, building, plant for what seems like forever, and one day, something’s different.

Are you standing on your head or has it always been that way???

Sometimes, it’s best to take a step back and breathe.

Life rights itself sooner or later, with or without you.

Can you guess which picture above is right side up???

Sometimes the best thing to do is to take a step back and get a little bit of a different perspective and re-evaluate things.
Austin Aries

Sometimes you have to let life turn you upside down, so you can learn how to live, right side up.

Good morning Kathy,

Pictures are worth a thousand words and I choose picture 2 as the right side up. Sometimes we need to stop, breathe and really look at a person or thing to make sure we are taking it all in! A different perceptive can make all the difference!

Dorie Dillard Austin TX you're right...it's the rightside up pic!!!!  Can you believe how white those clouds are that are reflected in the creek.

Hello Kathy - "fuzziness" in photos as well as in perceptions offer continuous opportunities to reflect.  Often, in familiar ways of reexamination.   Not to sidestep the issue you raise, sometimes it happens when taking another (and an additional) look.

Michael Jacobs I know I've had to do double-takes when I've looked at something. Did I really see that??

Good morning, Kathy... I choose picture option #2 as the "right side up." It's rare that in my personal life I feel things are not as they should be... but when I look at the world at large and some of the insanity out there, I do think the world is standing on its ear.

You're right, Nina Hollander, Broker it's #2. and yes, there are times when I look and think the world has run amok.

Good morning Kathy. Option two is my choice. With that said, in these chaotic times it pays to take a step back and think things over as so much is presented upside down. Your job, for better or worse is to figure out right side up. That said, more coffee! Enjoy your day.

Wayne Martin correct!!!  Everything in our world is advancing at such a fast pace, it's hard for anyone not to feel as if they're in one of those doors that keeps going around and around.

True Kathy, Sometimes you look at the same thing forever, and then one day, it feels totally different, like you can’t tell what’s normal anymore! My chose is #2.

Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400 #2 is right. We depend on our world to have some routine in it. When it's disrupted, we do feel like our world is upside down.

Hi Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 you're right!  I love taking photos of reflections in the water. This one surprised me because the clouds were so white and distinct in the water.

Hi Kathy and Happy Wednesday!  Gary and I started playing with this concept years ago. We started looking at things that we'd been looking at for years and were so used to them being 'the same'.  And we started back then to shift things around and have a blast with it to this day.  It's funny when one of us moves something.....and waits for the other one to notice it!!   Silly....but fun!

Anna "Banana" Kruchten oh yes.Larry and I went up and down the Intracoastal every week when we lived in FL. Once in a while, would see a vacant lot where a home had been torn down and we'd look at each other and couldn't remember what had been there. It was topsy turvey for us!!!

Anna "Banana" Kruchten

We're doing that right now.  There is another home being torn down a hill close to us and we both were scratching our heads.....what did it look like (really) before and why on earth did it need to be gutted. I don't think it's a matter of a new buyers simply wanted a 'new look'.  I think I'll look it up and see if I can find anything out today.  Maybe termites destroyed it?

Thank you, Kathy Streib, for this thought-provoking post that beautifully captures the complexity of perspective! I couldn’t help but notice that the first picture is upside down, while the second one is right side up, adding to the theme of reevaluation.

Great photos with a valuable lesson. It is easy to get easily disrupted where we lose touch of what is really going on because we are in emotional state that we can see past the trees in the forest. However, this is when it is vital to take a step back to see things from a different angle and re-evaluate the situation.  Thanks for the inspiration.

The things that confuse me most about things that people do are what I seem to dwell on the most, especially when I care about them, haha.

Hi Kathy:

Sometimes our perception can lead us astray without us realizing it.

I picked #2 before I started reading the comments. Water reflections can certainly be intriguing and beautiful, in life or in photos!
