What Is YOUR House FAMOUS For?

My house in Maui was famous for it being the corner house with the blue rock wall.

I can't say my house is famous for anything special. We have the Hubble House (Hubble Telescope), Muhammed Ali's Houses, & the Thomas Edison House to name a few.

Loved the inspirational question, our house is famous for being Pet Friendly, one cat came in after we moved in... another one is checking out the place deciding if he wants to move in.... and keep in mind three are now inside two cats and a half cat half dog:)Endre

Hello Jeff - the house can become a home because of who lives there.  Is that magic or something else. . .

I have always named my cars and yes my home too! My car is the "Gray ghost" and my home is "Me Casa! "

Hi Jeff- good post. I'll never forget when we purchased our home in Northern VA. It was known as the home with THE basement. It was perfect for entertaining with a 10 foot long bar. 

Our Prius was nicknamed "Spud" by my friend's daughter because it's gold and looks like a potato. .

When we looked at our house we were told there was going to be a winery behind us, so it became the winery house for us. And there is a very nice winery.

I do that with my buyers! We nickname the homes we've toured because it is often easier to remember than the address, plus it ties an emotional response to it. There was the creepy house, the Pottery Barn house, the bland house, the noisy house, the one with the pretty teal door, the garden oasis.. just to name a few. My house doesn't have a name but I sure hope buyers will remember it as the pretty one I want to call home when it's time to sell. 

Fun post, Jeff! I think I would name our house "the canyon view house" given the location.

Our first house in the La Costa area of Carlsbad and near the Omni La Costa Resort was down the street from the Rat Pack House.
