Who's Naughty and Who's Nice?

Stealing someone else's food is going to get you on Santa's naughty list but it is not Santa's list I am concerned about. He is not the only one who has a naughty and nice list. When I was an active Real Estate Broker I wanted to be sure I was not on the North Dakota Real Estate Board's naughty list. Problem is that when you are the Broker any agent under you can get you, the Broker, on the naughty list.

Now, as a Notary Public I want to stay off of the North Dakota Secretary Of States naughty list. BTW I did get a notice last week because I forgot to stamp a document when it got sent in.

The one list I do care about.

The only time I knew of "santa" giving out coal was when my dad and a friend of his used to exchange Christmas "gifts" - one year one of them gave the other a chunk of coal. The next year, the coal was regifted and nailed to a board to hang on the wall. Other than that, I don't remember coal gifts for naughty boys or girls!

Hello Bob - naughty, nice and many sorts of words are subject to interpretation.  Understanding official rules opens up another bag of worms.  I wonder what Titus or Philemon think of that earthly treasure.  Just wondering as I attempt a deeper dive into the issue.

Good morning Bob. I never wanted to be on the naughty list for the bar as an attorney or the licensing board as a managing broker or finally my wife's list and two out of three is not bad! Enjoy your day.

I probably never belonged on the "Nice" list domestically Wayne Martin but I've been surrounded by forgiving people so a lot of grace has been dispensed my way. 😊

I still remember the year I got some coal in my stocking! I was shocked and later when a little older couln.t believe my parents did that!  I'm a firm believer of following all rules and want to stay our of TREC jail (Texas Real Estate Commission)!

Good morning, Bob... that is one reason that retirement looks better to me each day, it seems. So much paperwork and liability in our business these days you have to question whether it's worth it.

I decided it wasn't worth it about 7 years ago now Nina Hollander, Broker . I still deal with regulations as a Notary public but it's a minute amount of what we deal with as RE agents/brokers.

Bob, as Nina said, the liability we see each day is getting more the more harsh!   I am glad I don't have an agent under me anymore, less stress.
