Donating Blood is the greatest gift of all.
My daughter recently served as Master of Ceremonies for the 249th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps. Today, I received photos and hope you will remember we stand free today, because of their sacrifices and many by our fallen comrades. We stand free today, because of them.
Ambassador Scott C. Miller for Switzerland, and other dignitaries were present for this ceremony. As her mother, I am brimming with pride. In the photo below, she looks up to the 23-year-old Marine and all who serve.
Throughout our lives, we fight many battles. We can come out on top! Challenges are a part of life. Overcoming challenges is what makes us strong. Though many have fallen, many have risen. We should never forget; we all have the same blood that bleeds and saves lives. This holiday would be an excellent opportunity to donate blood. If you're thinking about what to give, please consider donating blood. Be an anonymous blood donator. Blood costs nothing, except it can save a life.
Together we stand; divided we fall.

moments of the present, and the hope and promise of the future."

and all my child gives (or has given) to make this world a better place."
