Working Solo...With My Team

Working Solo...With My Team

Can you be successful in real estate if you don't have—or are not part of a mega team? Of course…provided you can call on your team.

What’s the difference? Many people hear the term “team” and think of the “multi-agent team,” a group of real estate agents working for one mega agent.

I love working solo but have all the advantages of a "team." At any point in the process, I can call in experts I have chosen for their quality of work and service. Whether it's a mortgage broker, appraiser, carpet installer, contractor, roofer, home inspector, stager, cleaning, or settlement officer, I have an expert ready to meet the needs of my buyers and sellers.

After years in the real estate profession, you learn who will treat your clients precisely as you would. My team of professionals does everything possible to bring about a smooth closing. Buyers and sellers need a team of professionals to help them with their real estate transactions.  Personal attention is what is needed – and what they get from me. Clients see my solo act, but know people are waiting in the wings to come on stage, on cue, to complete the performance and share the applause. I'm working solo…with my team.

Good morning, Margaret.
Great point! Every successful real estate transaction requires a team, doesn't it?

A real estate transaction is like orchestrating a musical production. The real estate agent acts as the conductor, ensuring that everyone works in harmony and contributes their unique expertise at the right time. When all parts come together seamlessly, the result is a beautiful masterpiece, and it's music to everyone's ears to hear those words "It's closed".

Hello Margaret - thanks to Carol Williams, my musically themed comment may fall flat.  Regardless of how any organization is assembled, the concerted effort fails if its leader does not follow through with its arrangement.  🎵🎶🎵

I have always thought of my team in the same manner you have and never had any interest in joining a real estate team, haha.

Great post! I was a solo broker for years. But you are right, there was certainly a team standing with me.

Indeed, Miss Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400 and I am betting that you working solo with your team of professionals run a much tighter, better, and more professional solo business than most "mega teams".

It takes a village of professionals. not 7, 8 or more agents.

Can you hear me jumping up and down?  Outstanding post Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400 For me, after entering my 8th year in real estate "team" has become for me a 4 letter dirty word.  My apologies to anyone I may have offended.

My experience with teams has not been positive. Handoffs to other team members who don't call back or are clueless about the property.  What a waste of my tine!

I agree solo practitioners have their "team" of reliable and consistent affiliates. As I shared in the past with my executive leadership and sales coaching clients, whose card does your client have?
