🎄The Gift of TIME 🎄
So many of Dr. McDonald's posts are worthy of attention. Check out some of these:
Adoption  ...  Ghosting  ... Appraisals  ...  ActiveRain Friends  ... Gifting AR Points Â
Today, her post really speaks to my heart. A friend from the past -- someone I had volunteered with for over 30 years -- died today and I have the peace of knowing that I spent the amount of time with her that was needed before she left.Â
Contact those people in your own life now.
Save yourself from thoughts of "Why did I wait so long?" or "I wish I had..."
I love that, Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400, and Carol Williams, are challenging us to come up with some ideas for gifts to give that person who has everything. This really made me stop and reflect on this concept. And yes, there are several people on my list who are difficult to find that perfect gift.
The concept of TIME popped up for me as it has a very special and personal meaning for me. As myself and so many that I know, have lost loved ones and friends over this past year. None of us knows when that last day on this earth will happen. Therefore, TIME is certainly important and a gift.
TIME is precious. TIME is a not guaranteed. And, TIME is truly a gift.
Here are some ways to share the gift of TIME with those you love:
🎄 Carve out some specific times on your calendar for an in-person meeting, a long phone or Zoom call to someone you care about. Make it just about them.Â
🎄 Plan a shopping date, breakfast/lunch/dinner date, park date, or really, any kind of date just for that special person you wish to spend time with.
🎄 Write them a special letter telling that special person what they mean to you in your life. If you can't deliver it in person, create a special delivery for them. Make it festive, fun, and memorable.
🎄 Plan a real trip with that "hard to gift" person. Maybe you meet somewhere in the middle. Perhaps you plan a getaway together. Again, carving out a special TIME to devote to them is a wonderful gift.
🎄 Make a list of the people you really desire to spend some TIME with this next year. Collaborate with themÂ
I really want to be more intentional with my TIME! I plan on creating my TIME calendar and placing these special dates throughout the year. I think it will be fun and super meaningful.
Thank you, Margaret and Carol, for this December Challenge!
