A few days ago Kathleen Daniels, Probate & Trust Specialist mentioned 'Grey Poupon' on FB and I told her that I had written a funny post about being asked one day if I had any Grey Poupon. A few people said......oh I'd love to read your story, so of course I had to share it!
Get your week started with a laugh and read this post! It's all true.....trust me, it happened! Still cracks me up to this day!

This fun post is for Raymond E. Camp ! Raymond asked on FB if anyone remembered that back in the 90's people would often times pull next up to someone at a stop sign, windows down, and inquire - Pardon Me, Do You Happen To Have Any Grey Poupon? I said, hey Raymond I've got a fun grey poupon story I'll share on ActiveRain! I'm sure many of you remember the Grey Poupon commercials on TV back then - they were a hoot!
So here you go - A little Saturday Fun - a true story!
One sunny spring day in 1994 I was hiking to the top of Squaw Peak Mountain with several friends. It's quite the challenging hike, especially as you get closer to the summit. We all made it up and decided to hang out for a bit and enjoy the view and gorgeous weather. I just happened to have on a yellow backpack full of goodies for everyone. (yes, I was known as Anna Banana back then too)!
So as I was standing right at the top of Squaw Peak handing out goodies to everyone......
All of a sudden a HUGE BLACK HELICOPTER started circling the TOP OF THE mountain. Some of us mentioned it kind of looked like a Darth Vader Style Copter - spooky as you couldn't see in the windows. The helicopter circled around us about 5 or 6 times.
And then.................the door opened up. Of course a few folks were thinking - what is going on.....could be good, or not. Then a guy finally yells out to me...
Pardon me Miss...
Do You Happen to Have any Grey Poupon?
I replied - Well let me check! I proceeded to pretend to search my yellow backpack! By then everyone was laughing hysterically watching my antics of searching the backpack and doing so - oh so seriously!
I finally said....So Sorry Sir , I'm all out of Grey Poupon! The guys in the helicopter were laughing as hard as all of us on the mountain top! We chatted a bit with the guys and then they said - thanks have a great hike! We cheered and clapped as they closed the door and took off. We told that story for many years and it's never happened again in all the hikes I've taken over the years in Phoenix. Maybe some day...
Now it's time to share any Grey Poupon Stories you might have!
Let's have fun!
