New Jersey has officially banned book bans........

Ralph- I don't know all of the particulars but if this is the case, then that's excellent news. Our country was founded on free speech. 

Knowledge is never the enemy itself.. I mean, everything is what you do with it.

It seems so wrong to me that society even allows for such a thing to happen in the first place.  I read something recently that rings true to me, "Freedom dies not with a bang, but with the silent consent of the obedient".  There are people that I care a lot about that believe we should be nice to everyone, no matter what, but when someone does something wrong, I believe that we need to speak up and call them out on it, even if it is going to offend them.  Staying silent only allows for the action to continue to happen and become accepted and that is NOT acceptable in my world, haha.  I always appreciate when someone calls me out on something I am doing wrong and I certainly wouldn't be offended if they are right about it.  It shows me that they care about me, haha.

Hello Ralph - I am also not aware of this case and wonder what about the reaction/response in as well as outside of New Jersey.   These are interesting times, I wonder how history, long after I leave the planet, will cover it.  

Excellent. We should be able to select what we want to read and then what we want to do with what we read. I select books sometimes and just don't finish them for whatever reason. They weren't speaking to me or interesting me. I should have the freedom to choose.

The book "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury and movie based on that book, had a big impact on me as a teenager.
