Carlsbad Village Holiday Window Decorating Contest

Holiday events are in full swing in Carlsbad and it’s time once again for the Carlsbad Village Window Display Contest.

Carlsbad residents will certainly recall the Holiday Window Display contest in Carlsbad Village from previous years. The Contest is sponsored by the Carlsbad Village Association and there are always some fabulous displays. I’m not sure if ALL retailers participate but there is certainly a high percentage who do.

Public voting online is on-going now through December 16th for the “People’s Choice Award.” The online ballot is on the Carlsbad Village Association website.

A panel of judges will select the “Best Holiday Window for 2024,” and a group from the Carlsbad Boy’s and Girl’s Club will pick the “Kids Favorite Award” winner. Winners will be announced on the Carlsbad Village Association website and in their email newsletter on December 18th.

What a great time to enjoy the festive spirit and beautiful window displays in the Village. Plus enjoy some shopping and dining.

Jeff, I think that was the best part of being in NYC at Christmas was the fabulous windows to see. Bet Carlsbad is really nice too, as your featured photo is very nice.

Thanks Joan Cox I remember one of our trips to Paris was in early December and the store windows were amazing.

It IS good exposure for the retailers Endre Barath, Jr. and I imagine they enjoy sprucing up their windows and it's a draw for consumers, too.

Not sure when this started but I have an article about the contest that I wrote back in 2016. I suspect it's been longer than that.

No doubt that was lots of fun to see Nina Hollander, Broker Unfortunately, I've not been in NYC for Christmas, but have seen downtown Philadelphia and Chicago...and Paris was wonderful even in early December when were there years ago.
