Redy or Not!

OMG, there's a new real estate model, where the agent pays the seller to get a listing. Isn't that exciting? Yes, now you, YES YOU can get ahead of the throngs of agents who are salivating to become the listing champion of an entire selling area.

For industry professionals who have disposable income, a very healthy business savings account or excellent credit with a long-standing relationship with a ready, willing and able lender to loan money at whim, it can work to an advantage.

Will it stick?

Who knows...

Never will I consider signing up for this. It’s amazing what some people are willing to do to bring in $$$. The real estate industry is in state of transition because of errant practices and consumers who are not fully aware of how real estate is conducted.

Just when I think I have heard it all...SURPRISE!!!

I just went to the website to get more information - agents ALREADY compete for listings, and they already provide information about how they are going to do that. They don't have to pay for the right to compete. The website indicates "only the best" agents will compete - the best agents don't HAVE to pay for listings.

I don't see how this helps sellers or the real estate industry as a whole.

Apparently, if you have the most money, there is no competition, Kat Palmiotti. I do not buy my circle of family and friends, so definitely will not buy clients!

Very few will benefit, in my opinion.

That sounds a bit crazy to me. Years ago, my flooring franchise experimented with paying customers $100 for their flooring appointment. All it did was attract price sensitive customers who wanted to make $ while wasting our time.

Some agents tried that here and were warned that it did not pass muster, Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400. The Board was contacted (not by me) and the signs were taken away!
