I know sometimes we all get caught up on the quality of life, the amenities and all The Villages has to offer. Travel a few miles outside of The Villages and you find a completely different life. I work with a lot of handymen, painters, landscapers, and folks who service The Villages and see hardships. Recently I was talking with one of my contractors and he shared about two families that were suffering and I offered to help and already have but we need more help. Here are the two stories and sure there are plenty more.
Local family with six children, the husband works six days a week, the family had some unforeseen medical expenses. He wanted to borrow Two Thousand dollars and offered his truck title as collateral, denied. He needed to pay a bill and have Christmas gifts and dinner for his family. The children are 4 year old girl, 6 year old boy, 12 year old boy, 13 year old girl and 15 year old girl.
A lady works at a local pizza place, she has a baby and can only afford two baby bottles and barely getting by.
If you want to help please let me know, the local schools have programs to help, and our church has an outreach program and partners for the local community. I will help the two families I mentioned above and if we get more than they need working with other organizations your donations will help local families in need!
Thank you!
