Blink and It’s Gone…End of the Year Random Thoughts

2024- for those of us in the Houston area, it was the year of the generator and weather.
May 16: we had something I’d never heard of in my life… a derecho. It is like a tornado but actually is a “widespread longlasting windstorm” that caused about 1 million customers to go without power. Powered up the generator!
July 8: Hurricane Beryl came to town. Thankful again for our generator.
Christmas Eve and Saturday (28th): Two tornado events.
Larry and I sitting in his closet waiting out the tornado warning. We had our iPads with us and watched the news!

Resolutions?
I’ve never believed in them.
(1) All they do is set you up for disappointment.
(2) If there are things you want to change, improve upon, or do…why wait?! Do them now!
The one resolve I have is that every night I pray that I will be a better person tomorrow than I was today.
You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.
C.S. Lewis

Year's end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us. Hal Borland
And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been. Rainer Maria Rilke
I wish you…
JOY in your heart every day,
FAITH when times are tough,
HOPE that tomorrow will always be better,
And LOVE that warms and nurtures you.
Happy New Year!
