Ensuring a Thriving Business in 2025

Thank you, Leanne Smith and Will Hamm for hosting the January contest and encouraging us to reflect on the actions we’re taking to ensure a thriving business in the year ahead. As someone deeply rooted in the Canyon Creek community—where I live, work, and play—my 2025 goals focus on consistency and meaningful engagement with my neighbors and clients.

Staying Consistent with Market Reports

One of the cornerstones of my business is my monthly, quarterly, and year-end market reports, which many in the community rely on. In fact, I’ve already received calls asking when my December report will be available! These reports are shared across my websites, Facebook, newsletters, and even in print. They’re a trusted resource for homeowners seeking insights into our local market.

To keep up with modern consumer preferences, I’ve refined my reports into a more concise format. Easy-to-read graphics and key market metrics allow readers to quickly grasp what’s happening. I’ve also added historical comparisons dating back to 2017, highlighting the wealth-building potential of homeownership. This approach has been well-received and will continue to be a staple of my business strategy.

Leveraging Experience and Reputation

With 33 years of experience in real estate, I’m fortunate to have built a strong foundation of repeat clients, referrals, and loyal sellers in Canyon Creek. I’ve become a trusted resource—someone they count on for results and contributions to the community. My listings consistently sell, thanks to professional marketing, exceptional photography, and staging that showcases properties at their best.

Last year, I stood firm on my value, turning down several listings where sellers had unrealistic pricing expectations or sought discounted compensation. Many of those homes lingered on the market for over 150 days before being pulled. Now, my phone is ringing with new opportunities because sellers recognize the value of working with an agent who delivers results. My philosophy remains clear: you get what you pay for, and I’m worth it.

Looking Ahead

2025 is about maintaining momentum and continuing to provide top-tier service. Here are the key actions I’m taking:

  • Refining Marketing Strategies: Staying ahead of trends to ensure my listings stand out.
  • Engaging with the Community: Deepening relationships and maintaining visibility in Canyon Creek.
  • Focusing on Quality: Prioritizing well-presented, realistically priced listings to deliver successful outcomes.

As I step into the new year, I’m excited about the opportunities ahead. By staying consistent and committed to excellence, I’m confident in continuing to thrive in this ever-evolving real estate market.

Good morning Dorie. I am a big fan your quote: "You get what you pay for and I am worth it!". If you don't stand your ground for compensation, how soon will you be seeking price reductions or cutting marketing corners?  Enjoy your day.
