We all knew this day would come; it had to. It was simply a matter of time. After twenty-one years, my most recent career is ending.
I’m not dying, nor am I heading out to pasture, but as of right now, I am no longer a Realtor®. While my Arizona real estate license will remain valid for a few more months, I have no plans to continue selling homes.
Some of you may have noticed my recent absence from activerain (although it is hard to notice something that isn’t there), but rest assured I am still here, hovering around.
I don’t like to use the term retirement; it implies I will not work any longer. I may not be selling homes but have plenty of things on my plate to keep me busy for a long time.
Coming to the end of my real estate career doesn’t mean I’m writing, “The End.”
So, what’s next? It’s time to concentrate on the next big thing which for right now is the quest to write a bestselling novel. Writing is a craft that takes up enormous amounts of time and I plan to continue honing my skills in that field of study. I have already published several books and have a few more in the works. It hasn’t been as lucrative as my previous career(s), but at some point, money becomes the less important component of success.
I have updated my activerain profile and contact information to reflect my new status. Feel free to reach out if I should pop into your mind.
