My planning for 2025 began a couple of months ago as I looked back over 2024 and planned for 2025. To make a plan you need to know where you are to begin with, which is why it was important to consider 2024 first. After doing that I considered my goals for 2025 in light of 2024 results.
2024 was not my best year, but it also was not my worst year, that was 2023. As I age, my goals adjust. Once in our office one of our managers was asking everyone what their goals were and what was their motivation. After listening to all these people, young and older mention some big goals, and wanting to be top salesperson etc., it got to me. I said my motivation was to make enough money to pay my bills, and to pay for my vacations and restaurant meals along with buying some good wine over the course of the year. I do not care how people measure me against others. As long as I achieve my goals that allow me to live my life how I want to live it I consider myself successful.
Knowing that, I looked over my sales, and knew I can handle more, so how do I achieve more sales. To be honest I was a little sloppy last year and not consistent. I did not keep to my plan enough, arising from having had a terrible 2023 and being discouraged. But, I had moved brokerage and made some good sales. I have sales in the pipe line for this year.
So, I laid out a plan in my head and thought on this for a while, sharpening it and polishing it.
The basic plan is to make 12-20 sales this year. To be consistent writing an email newsletter to my sphere every month. To make one video every two weeks. To blog more consistently using a plan. To work with a lead generation firm using Facebook marketing to generate leads. To identify and develop a small farm area near where I live that I can mail at least every quarter if not more often. To network more where I live.
I will go into more detail on each of these as I post about this over the next four weeks.
