This past summer, I received a telephone call from my younger brother's friend who asked me if I would like a referral. I would love to help you out, I said, and heard specific information about his past client who was looking in my market.
"She might not buy until next year, but..." on and on about more history for his family friend. In the end, she did not buy until about six months from our first telephone call, and after several visits to my hometown of Roanoke. Over the course of those several months, we viewed many houses to learn about what my client wanted in her next home, and were actually under contract for one of the ones that we saw on the first day of her home search. In the end, we had to back out of that contract (another blog post).
We closed on Wednesday, and she ultimately chose a home that was in my beautiful neighborhood of Old Southwest (oldsouthwest.org)
I am so happy to have been able to help this Floridian move closer to her family in nearby states, and know that she will love her historic home that she bought.
