Motivational Monday…No Matter How Small
The significance of random acts of kindness, no matter how small, is a topic that we see often.
These acts, often from total strangers, surprise us. They make us smile and give us hope that good people still exist.
This weekend I was in my local grocery store looking for an allergy spray. My store has digital coupons I have on my phone so it’s paper free and easy to use.
I noticed that some kind soul had placed a coupon from a newspaper flyer in front of the product for anyone finding it to use.
I didn’t need it since I had the same coupon (worth $5.00) on my phone but I wondered who placed it there.
It doesn’t matter but it reminded me that every little thing we do, even if no one will know we do it…has an impact on others.
The person who found the coupon may have truly needed it. And even if that $5 had no financial impact on them, it could still serve as a meaningful reminder of the power of random acts of kindness.
A little thought and a little kindness are often worth more than a great deal of money.
John Ruskin
Act with kindness but do not expect gratitude.
