What a fulfilling week working with some dear past clients of mine! Fourteen years ago, I had the privilege of listing their home in Canyon Creek and helping them purchase a beautiful Colina Vista Condominium. A stunning view and a primary bedroom were non-negotiable for them, and with the market moving quickly, I contacted a sales representative I trusted at D.R. Horton. We found the perfect unit, wrote up an offer, and they couldn’t have been happier. Interestingly, I also represented another buyer just a few units down the way!
Fast forward to about three years ago, health challenges began to weigh on them, and we started discussing a potential move to a senior living facility. Though they explored their options, they weren’t quite ready at the time.
This past fall, it became clear that a move was necessary. They chose a wonderful facility conveniently located near my office. By December, they had settled into their new home, and we shifted our focus to listing their condo.
Good karma stepped in when another agent reached out last weekend, mentioning he had clients renting in the community who were eager to buy a property there and heard I would be the listing agent on a unit. I met with my sellers on Monday to list the condo, complete the seller’s disclosure, and finalize the necessary details. With everything in place, we shared the list price and necessary documents with the agent. My clients hoped this opportunity would work out, before putting the home on the market, as they anticipated the challenge of decluttering, making repairs, and staging the property for the market.
To their delight, the agent presented a full-price, as-is offer with a short three-day option period and a Valentine’s Day closing date! My sellers graciously offered the buyers a chance to keep any items left in the condo, and as luck would have it, the buyers wanted everything!
The relief on my clients’ faces was priceless. With the stress of selling their home lifted, they feel lighter, and some of their health concerns even seem to be improving.
So far, everything is moving smoothly—we’re past the option period and headed for the appraisal. Moments like these, where things come together for truly good people, are why I love what I do!
