Does The Villages have Snowplows and Salt the Streets?

NO!  I would tell people to chill out, but I am sure you already are, this shall pass, and the sun will return!  I have been in this area for 18 years and I think I have seen temperatures in the high 20’s a few times lowest I can remember maybe 25º.  Back in 2008 I did see .001” of snow which lasted 12 minutes.  Every year we have Winter for 4 to 7 days and guess what we are in Winter.  Look at the picture I posted, starting Sunday the 26th we are in Spring!

You have a few days of cold but my friends in the panhandle of Florida are sharing they got a half of foot of snow.  Last night I was playing cards at a neighbor’s house and walked home at 9:00 pm, 42º, rain and thought I was back in Pennsylvania!  Do we need to start a support group until Sunday?  Hang in there we will survive the Winter of 2025!

Good morning Dick. The Villages will survive. For those about to panic, they must have been on drugs during their working years up north. Enjoy your day.

Good morning, Dick... Charlotte hasn't had snow for 3 years until we got a dusting last night. This morning, it's ice. While we don't see this kind of weather frequently we are at least generally prepared to deal with it when it happens. I can't imagine what people are going through right now in areas where they have never seen snow.

Hello Dick, I think my cousin feels like he is back in Pennsylvania.  Shock at a friend of mine got 5 inches in her part of Florida.

Hi Dick- I can relate to your post. We (Houston) had snow on Tuesday which is rare. When we lived in Delray Beach I remember how nuts we got on the rare occasion it got below 40. And we did have the occasional freeze.   BTW- Houston had to borrow snow plows from Abeline, TX.
