Shake It Off

As soon as I read Timmothy's comic strip this song came to mind. I couldn't remember who performed it so I took a look on YouTube and I saw the version I remember by The Guess Who but then I also saw this, the very original and upon listening to it I see The Guess Who totally "pirated" it off note for note from Johnny Kidd and The Pirates (a group I had never heard of).

GREAT REAL ESTATE TIE-IN'S

Timid Agents shaking in their boots?

Realtors ripping off others photographs?

Real Estate is not a vocation for the timid. If you are timid and your heart's desire is to sell Real Estate make sure you shop for a Real Estate Brokerage that offer good training. Knowing your product (Real Estate) and great coaching can help you overcome your timidness and turn you into a Real Estate Rock Star.

Ripping off other Realtors photographs and property descriptions is a prosecutable offence so just don't do it.

As a retired Broker I recall many a time where photographs and property descriptions (word for word) were "borrowed" from a previous listing. Sometimes new agents have no idea that this is a no no. This is where you may want to "shake-off" a hands-off Broker who doesn't properly train their agents.

Good advice, Bob. I must admit that I've only ever once encountered an agent "ripping off" my photos on a home. I reported her to our MLS and they were gone in a NY minute.

Bob "RealMan" Timm here our MLS will first give the agent a chance "to make it right" before going to the broker-in-charge, but they will also copy the BIC on all notifications.

It's nice to hear of an MLS with a spine Nina Hollander, Broker . Our, when I was active, was pretty good as well. They seldom, if ever, approached the agent directly but both Brokers are immediately notified.

My wife has some experience with agents and others ripping off her photos.  It's cost a couple of them big time.

Bob, It’s happened to us a few times. Instead of calling MLS, I contacted the agent directly and told her/him to delete my photos or I’d report them. Every time, they denied doing it and blamed it on their assistant!

The buck never ends with them does it Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400 . Did you remind them that they are responsible for their assistants the same as a Broker is responsible for their agents?
