From Forsyth County:
The J. Dudley Watts Jr. Belews Lake Park is now open!
It's located at 7455 Craig Road in northeastern Forsyth County. The 216-acre park features nearly 2 miles of serene lake frontage, 1.35 miles of natural surface trail and 0.34 miles of paved walking path, a reservable picnic shelter, public picnic tables with grills and a fully ADA-accessible fishing dock.
For shelter reservations, call Forsyth Parks & Recreation at (336) 703-2500
It's currently open 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Park hours align with daylight hours, dawn to dusk, so they're adjusted throughout the year. You can see the schedule for the year on the link.
This is Phase 1 of the parks' development. We plan to add more amenities in the future.
