San Diego Museum Month Starts Saturday
February is American Heart Month. But it’s also San Diego Museum Month! And there are terrific museum benefits to take advantage of throughout February.
San Diego Museum Month (website) is a special opportunity! There are discounts at more than 70 museums, historic sites, aquariums and similar venues throughout San Diego until February 28th. See the website for the complete list of museums and other venues and any restrictions.
It’s easy to participate in San Diego Museum Month. All you have to do is pick up a discount pass at one of the more than 80 San Diego Libraries (city and county libraries). The discount is 50% off the cost of regular admission for up to 4 people. You might find some other special offers, too.
Be aware that certain special programs and exhibits may have other admission fees. Additionally, some exhibits may not qualify for a discount. It’s wise to check with the venue first regarding any limitations that may exist.
You have until February 28th to use the passes. Discount passes may be used more than once, although the number of visits to a particular museum may be restricted. There is no cost for discount passes and the rewards could be substantial.
All participating museums and historic sites are members of the San Diego Museum Council. San Diego Museum Month is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy your favorites, and perhaps explore museums you haven’t yet visited.
