An unexpected perk of being Realtors who stage..

We just moved a beautiful credenza into a new listing coming soon in Columbia, MD. It's quite heavy, we have to remove the drawers to be able to move it up and down stairs. But, it's been so worth it every single time as it adds so much personality and warmth to a space which is one of the main goals of home staging.

This piece is one of a few that was gifted to us by clients whose homes we listed - and sold, of course! It's an unexpected perk of being Realtors who stage. We are firm believers in the magic and benefits of home staging and have been building our inventory over the last few years. The generous contributions from clients downsizing, relocating, selling their childhood homes, or simply redecorating are so appreciated.

We say it all the time, we have the best clients! Using their furniture and accessories makes it impossible to forget them or the fun and success we shared. Not that we would ever want to forget (but for a couple of rare exceptions).

There are many perks of being a Realtor and home stager, this has definitely been an unexpected but awesome one.

Good morning, Andrea... I'm a big believer in staging. Although I'm not a trained or licensed stager, I have worked with stagers for so long most of them tell me I could do their jobs for them.

I am guessing that since your inventory is built up, you don't charge your clients for the benefit of staging, other than through the commission that is earned from selling the home, is that true?

That's correct, Brian England. We include staging in our listing service.
