🙏Catholic Charities - Help with Mental Illness

Good morning, Brian... mental illness covers so many conditions, it's often hard to diagnose and treat. And often it's a chemical imbalance and not a mental issue.

Brian, Yes Mental health is finally getting the attention it deserves, and while there’s still a long way to go, every effort counts toward positive change.

Brian England Think global, act local. Catholic Charities out here also makes a difference in its communities, as do many other faith-based organizations. Taking inspiration from one's faith is very poweful. Lauren

Fortunately there are organizations like Catholic Charities who are dedicated to providing help to those who are homeless and those with mental health issues. Mental health covers a very broad spectrum of issues and not everyone who has a mental health issue is homeless, nor are all people rendered homeless experiencing mental illness although a large percentage likely are.

I'm so glad to see more emphasis put on Mental health and finally getting the attention it needs! The Catholic Charities are certainly offering programs to address this important issue!

Brian I have been blessed to have not had mental challenges in my life, or have to care for family members who suffer from it.  Though my youngest brother is a super liberal, so I may have to rethink what I just said.  🤪

Brian- whatever we have or don't have, we are all still so blessed. It's good that there are organizations that help the homeless as they transition back into the world they knew.

Thank you for being proactive.  Our communities need us.  There are so many falling through the cracks and it is extremely sad. We need to do a better job of getting folks the help they need where they are at.  I am glad to learn that Catholic Charities is involved and making a difference.
