The AR February blog challenge asks; what we L❤️VE about being a REALTOR? I have always enjoyed networking with my fellow colleagues in the real estate world. Like most REALTORS I am always talking shop. Finding out and sharing what's about to come on the market or what a particular buyer is looking for.
The challenge of matching Buyers with the right property or a Seller's property with the perfect buyer has always been my passion. Over the years I have helped many agents connect Buyers and Seller's by knowing who is working with who. There have been many memorable connections I have made over the years through my affiliations with activerain, Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, CRS and networking locally.
A number of years ago I had a small horse farm listed and the Seller's were moving to South Carolina. I spoke with the relocation coordinator at the local Leading RE affiliate in Aiken, South Carolina describing what my Seller's were looking for. She indicated to me that she had the perfect agent in mind to work with them. After the Seller's returned from their house hunting trip they called and thanked me for connecting them with such a wonderful agent. They also said to me "what a small world it is"; as the South Carolina REALTOR had relocated to Aiken from Frederick, Maryland and they had actually met her many years ago because she was involved in the horse community. So needless to say that was a perfect match.
Just recently I was on the phone with my best friend from high school, Jeff Buffo who is a REALTOR in the Atlanta area. While talking with Jeff I was looking through the Q&A section on activerain. I came across a question from Tammy Lankford asking if anyone knew a good agent in the Atlanta area. I asked Jeff if he covered the specific area and he said "yes". So I gave Jeff Tammy's contact info and answered her question on Q&A. Tammy called me a few days later to thank me for putting her in touch with Jeff as she thought he would be the right agent to work with her client. Just a few days ago Jeff sent me a thank you note saying he had listed the property and it sold in 5 days. Another perfect match.
The title of my blog now has that song stuck in my head from the movie Fiddler on the Roof. This is one of the only movies I have been to that was so long it had an intermission in the middle. It also made me not L❤️ve musicals...& as Brian England would say "haha".
