Philadelphia News Views Jet Plane Crashes
Who would Believe a Jet Plane would Crash into a Residential Shopping Center and Residential living area, leaving many families homeless and helpless? My deepest Sympathy to all who were affected by this tragedy. We here in Pennsylvania and Philadelphia have the best Governors, Josh Shapiro and Mayor Parker; we are Philly Strong; they kept us informed and were there on the scene helping and cleaning everything up. The FBI was also present. The truth was spoken and respected.
Many people are sick with the flu and other illness. I, for one, have been out of commission for a month and even lost my voice for several weeks. I am just getting my strength back. Every time I think I am over it, it comes back. So, I am taking it easy and resting. At one point, I decided not to cook and order from our local diner, and wow, their meals were outstanding. Those who know me I am energetic, but I was drained of all my energy. I was supposed to meet with a past client, but when we spoke, he told me to wait until I felt better. When I called him, he was sick. Everyone in the house had the same thing I had so that we will get together in a few weeks.
Local place to eat
Liberty Bell Diner - Chicken Parm - mac and cheese veg of choice (or pasta ) soup or salad - I chose - Greek salad, which was a meal in itself; you also received two cheese rolls, and dessert I decided ice cream peanut butter $17; the portions were so large I had enough for two nights - I did pick it up, but they would deliver, but I wanted to get out see how I would feel if left the house, and this was the early bird special. It is $25 after the early bird. The food was delicious, and I did not have to cook or clean up.
When I got home, I was exhausted, so I knew cooking was not a good idea, but I did need to get out of the house -it was also nice not having to clean up. My next order was a meatball parmesan sandwich, french fries, soup, and bread pudding. Considering I could barely taste anything, I was thrilled it was so good; I could only eat a quarter of the sandwich and saved the rest for later. I wish I had it now - $13.99
The people at Liberty Bell Diner are great. If you eat in and have their card, you get a discount if you pay cash. Plus, the owner better not hear you did not get good service. He will run over to your table and ask what happened. It is a family-run business; I have never had a bad meal there. Their Benedict eggs for breakfast are excellent, but with the bird flight, who knows what will happen with egg orders?
That's all for now, but I will be doing my Philadelphia Steals and Deals, especially about ReClectic, which has opened in North Carolina. I want my friends to know that I saw on Instagram that people were waiting in lines for hours, so wait a few weeks before you go. I waited two months after it opened before I went. It is an incredible shopping experience.
Macy's, the original Wanamakers store, is closing in Center City, Philadelphia. John Wanamaker originated the first department store. He was quite an amazing man, and there are books about him. He also redesigned our postal system. Parts of the store are federally historically protected. Thanks to Vblogger, who filmed some of the rare events, you can see why in my next blog. Thank you to my Active Friends who checked up on me, especially after the Crash.
