What About All Those SuperBowl Left Overs?

Bad food dreams are even worse than those old school dreams of being naked in class. I remember my worst food dream. It happened about 60 years ago yet the memory is still fresh.

As a kid I loved hot dogs. I could eat a whole uncooked package at a time. That is Until I dreamt I was in a car and there was a package of hot dogs on the dashboard and I started to chow down.  Something wasn't right. I looked at the package and not only were they discolored but there was also a dead mouse in the package. It took years before I ate another hotdog.

Lucky for me mine was just a dream BUT I am guessing bad food is going to happen to those still feasting on SuperBowl treats today and later into this week.

Don't take chances, food poisoning is a horrible thing. I know that spread cost a fortune but know when to toss it. Be food safe.

Good morning Bob,

You have a point! We gathered at a sports bar to watch the Super Bowl so what I ordered I consumed and no left overs for me!

Many a drinking establishment offer a excellent (free) meal for the Super Bowl and I've always had a good time when I've partaken Dorie Dillard Austin TX .

Good morning, Bob... there was no Super Bowl food in my house so there were no leftovers to worry about! :)

Same here Nina Hollander, Broker , my Love. We had the game on for the first half but quickly turned it off at half time. No need to watch the 2nd half, the writing was on the wall.

Bob "RealMan" Timm I watched the first half and then tuned in from time to time in the second half... but as you said, the writing was on the wall.

Good morning Bob. Since it was only the wife and I, we had chili for dinner and watched the game. No leftovers and no mess and are importantly no danger of food poisoning. Enjoy your day.

We had a similar menu Wayne Martin with chile poured over a baked potato.

Yes, being food safe is key. Knowing how to store leftovers, and for how long is important.

Hello Bob - I imagine the food I ate on Sunday could be described as super by some.  But like most of the dreams I have, not much is remembered after the fact.  Nothing against food, dreams or any sort of sport either.  Just some wordplay at practice.

Thank you for the smile brought on by your deep thought Michael Jacobs . ☺️

All our leftovers will be reheated, vegetarian lasagna, but tonight a break we will be eating tuna and asparagus with a salad.

That sounds good Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 . Even though I like meat I would not turn away from anything on your menu.

It's best to eat it before it spoils Doug Rogers . That is why we try to find the smallest turkey during the holidays... so we don't have to eat it all week.☺️

No leftovers for me, Bob "RealMan" Timm.  I ate so little at the Super Bowl party I arrived home hungry. While there was an unbelievable amount of food, I did not eat it. I ate a little of what I brought (LOL).

That's funny Kathleen Daniels, Probate & Trust Specialist . When ever we go to a potluck I avoid Carol's dish just in case much of it comes back home with us. 🙃

A bad hotdog is the worst.  Our daughter got food poisoning from a ball park hot dog at a softball tournament she played in at 14.  I really don't think she's had one in the last 22 years.

I can relate to your daughter Don Baker although mine was just a dream and I couldn't eat one for years.

Bob, I only have queso leftover from Sunday.   I made guacamole and a smothered burrito too.

Yum, that sounds delicious Joan Cox . I could live on Mexican and American fast food. Carol does a great job with the guacamole and burritos as well. 😤

Bob—back in college, I braved the wild and tried a hot dog exactly once. That's just one lonely little hot dog, and I haven't had to nibble on one since. Honestly, it's the one that throws me off—"hot dog"? 🌭Who thought that was a good idea? It sounds more like a sweaty pet than something you'd eat! I wasn't a connoisseur of processed foods; it took me ages to warm up to bacon and sausage. Now those, at least, have respectable names!😋

That is a great story Aura Alex and I love the point of "sweaty pet". Now as far as bacon and sausage those are two foods that I can not get enough of. 😀
