The Villages now has 259 Pickleball Courts and they are building even more. 48 million people played Pickleball in 2022 just as a reference 25.6 million played golf. The Villages is Pickleball crazy and don’t believe me visit a Pickleball Court some morning, recently I had folks I was showing around on their first visit and we visited a rec center with courts, amazing the numbers playing or waiting to play.
Don’t know anything about Pickleball? Interesting a couple of guys put together ping pong paddles, a plastic ball on a badminton court and they refined it from there. Lowered the net discovered it was great to play on asphalt rather than grass and the sport was off and running.
The Villages offers all types of classes for Pickleball from introduction to advanced sessions. Interest fact 53% of the players are male and 47% are female a great sport for all! Interesting in learning and playing? The Villages has that!
