So for those of you who need an ball or puck or animal in your sports, you may not realize it. But today is the Daytona 500. Most sports make you wait until the last game to give you their ultimate event. NASCAR? They START with their ultimate event. And there is a definite culture to NASCAR events as can be witnessed by this humorous look by John Crist. I hope you enjoy - BOOGITY BOOGITY BOOGITY, LET'S GO RACIN', BOYS!!!
Rocky you would probably get pants for saying those things at a NASCAR race track.
The Nascar race in Atlanta was one of the first dates my now wife took me on when I first visited Georgia after moving back to the states. At the time (in 2000) I picked Jimmy Johnson as "my driver" because we were from the same place. That worked out well for me.
Rocky, your enthusiasm for the Daytona 500 is contagious! Sharing this fun and humorous perspective on NASCAR culture is a great way to engage your audience. It's a clever reminder that sometimes, the biggest events come right at the start.
Good afternoon Rocky,
The Daytona 500 is an event so many look forward to! The news is over the top on this years as the President made an appearance!
I have only been to one Nascar event in my life and it certainly didn't leave me yearning to attend another one, although I would, haha.
Hello Rocky - even as a non-sports fan, I was aware of this day but didn't watch it. Beyond the race, fast and faster cars as well as other related festivities, the cultural impact can't be ignored in my opinion.
