Set Sail for a Brick-tastic Maritime Adventure!
Introduction
Are you ready for a creative and engaging adventure? During February School Vacation Week, from February 15th to the 23rd, the USS Constitution Museum is hosting its annual LEGO® Maritime Festival. Why not join us? You can unleash your inner builder and celebrate maritime history in brick-tacular style.
Build Your Dream Ship
At the heart of the festival lies the Ship Shape Challenge page (see https://ussconstitutionmuseum.org/lego-ship-shape-competition/). You can enter your LEGO® or DUPLO® ship into the daily competition. You could even win! Three designs will get selected each day. Those winners will be entered into a grand prize competition. Find all the contest rules at the Ship Shape Challenge page! Let your imagination run wild and create a vessel worthy of the high seas.
Brick by Brick History
The USS Constitution Museum has redesigned the Brick by Brick Kits. These kits are in celebration of the Navy's 250th birthday! You can build detailed models of the USS Constitution, USS Cassin Young, and USS Nantucket using LEGO® bricks. Follow step-by-step instructions. Create surprisingly accurate versions of these historic ships!
Color Your Own Sailor
Did you know LEGO® has created over 4 billion mini-figures? You can now design your own! Start with an 1812 Sailor or Marine design. Then, color it your way. Help make the Maritime Festival a vibrant spectacle.
Conclusion
As a child, I always loved Legos. I could spend hours building different creations. This festival perfectly combines creativity with a love for history. You can experience both. For more information about this event, visit https://ussconstitutionmuseum.org/events/legofestival/.
