Say Good bye ! Thankfully and Hopefully

Earlier in the week I posted the forecasted temperatures being at, or near, zero.  The below photo was on my way to the Sandpoint Realty Office this morning around 6am.

Sandpoint Realty Minus 8 Degrees

Less than 20 miles down the road from Naples Idaho the temps had warmed up to 2 and 3 degrees.

Good news to this is we are still forecasted to start warming up thru today and into this evening with high temps during the North Idaho days reading balmy high 20's to mid 30's.

I would be very surprised to see single digit temps again this year.  Oh no!!! Did I just say that.  lol  While more snow expected the darn single digit temps will not be missed.

Hi Mark... it's been so long since I lived in really cold winter temperatures, I just can't imagine how you deal with those kinds of temperatures!

Not too bad when properly dressed but unfortunately I had to go underneath 2 separate rental units because of frozen pipe issues.  Tenants just don't get the importance of leaving a drip at the faucets.  Oh well, I am alive and well and temps climbed about 30 degrees from yesterday so all is good.  Thanks, as always, for stopping by.  m

I am ready for some warmer weather, and was not happy the Groundhog saw his shadow.

I really don't mind the snow blowing in the drives, but my oh my, shoveling roofs can be daunting.  Fortunately I got by without having to do so this year.  Hopefully I did not jinx myself by saying so.  lol  m

Good evening Mark,

I'm going to think positive that you will not experience these temperatures again this winter. It's been a long time since I've experienced temperatures that you are having and I hope to keep it that way! LOL!

Thanks for the good wishes Dorie.  Overall it has been a mild winter, but even a few days of the extreme lows require extra vigilance on water pipes and general safety.  I think we are good now as telling George.  And Happy Valentines Day young lady.  Enjoy the day to its fullest.  m

Kathy, I used to do 'snow making' in Lake Tahoe area for big ski resort.  It is amazing how you can feel the difference when just dropping down to single digit temps from the teens, much less the sub zero's.  Happy Valentines Day.  m

Hello Mark - warming up to way below freezing is a chilly example of an oxymoronic weather condition that I may be unwilling to encounter whether by choice or other chilly circumstances.  And yes, even for a hot bowl of chili served in Chile.

I hope that it will indeed be goodbye to the extreme cold weather for you and those in your area!  The pictures you share show me that it is definitely too cold there for me, haha.

Mark Don McInnes, Sandpoint-Idaho - your first image of snow blowing off the road brought back a couple of uncomfortable memories from my Chicago days. I pray you'll always be safe on the roads and when repairing pipes for tenants.

I wish you a very Happy Valentine's Day.

Hi Mark:

Happy Valentine's Day. Hopefully that IS the end of the single digits for you. I don't miss having that kind of cold weather at all - Boston winters were bad enough and Minnesota cold was even worse.

Mark, It can be bad luck saying such things.  Hopefully for you it does not get so cold again, but it is still February...Enjoy the warmer temps!

Mark one thing is for sure now.....I'm a wimp when it comes to cold temperature.  I grew up in MN so I know what below zero is like....brrrrr.   Hang in there and I hope you get back to the 20's and 30's.  In MM we called that 'just need a vest day"  No big parka with a hood day.  Now.......I'm happy to say it'll be back in the 70's this week.  Thankfully.
