Lake Ki Frozen in Time: A Breathtaking Winter Wonderland

On a crisp February morning, I had the opportunity to capture the serene beauty of Lake Ki blanketed by a delicate layer of ice. Located in the Seven Lakes area north of the Tulalip Reservation, Lake Ki spans approximately 100.6 acres and is one Snohomish County's deepest lakes with an average depth of 33 feet - Snohomish County.

As I navigated the shoreline, I was struck by the lake's stillness. The usual gentle ripples were absent, replaced by a mirror-like surface that seemed to pause time itself. A particularly captivating sight was a lone ball, frozen mid-bounce on the ice, epitomizing the tranquil ambiance.

Lake Ki is renowned for its recreational offerings. During warmer months, residents and visitors indulge in activities such as fishing and boating, with motorized boats observing an 8 mph speed limit to preserve the lake's peaceful environment. Public access is located along State Highway 531 (Lakewood Road) on the north side though be careful as there is no crosswalk and people tend to drive fast. The gravel boat launch suitable for small trailers, toppers, bed loaders and inflatables.

The lake's health is a testament to the community's dedication to environmental stewardship. With high water clarity, low phosphorus levels, and minimal algae and aquatic plant presence, Lake Ki maintains its pristine condition. Approximately 40% of the surrounding 521.6-acre watershed is developed, underscoring the importance of sustainable practices to protect this natural gem.

For those enchanted by Lake Ki's allure, the surrounding real estate offers an opportunity to immerse oneself in this picturesque setting year-round. Lakefront properties provide uninterrupted views and direct access to the water, making them highly sought after. Whether you're seeking a serene retreat or a permanent residence, the Lake Ki area boasts a variety of homes to suit diverse preferences - Barnettassociates.net.

Experiencing Lake Ki's frozen tranquility was a poignant reminder of nature's profound beauty and the moments of stillness it offers amidst our bustling lives.

Thank you for those very kind words, Dorie. The following day, the lake was totally snowed over and would have been an excellent addition to the video but I was unable to go film due to appointments.
