The February Challenge invites us to reflect deeply:
Why We Love What We Do?
I must begin with a truth—real estate sales, while a part of my journey, does not stir my "love". Admittedly, I have found a passion for it and success in it, navigating its challenges with a blend of skill and strategy. I enjoy aspects like marketing, negotiating, and problem-solving; in fact, I revel in the thrill of the process. Yes, fun can be found amidst the complexities.
So, if not real estate, what do I truly love?
True love is something I reserve for my cherished bride Ailina Nelson , my beloved son Wyatt, my family and friends, and of course, our dear Mr. Whiskey Wiggles.
Yet, the challenge requires me to express why I love my work - what I do. And I can! Because at the core of what I do is something much more significant than just real estate. It transcends the titles of REALTOR® or Entrepreneur—though I cherish being an entrepreneur immensely.
Why I truly love what I do, is because what I do has the built-in opportunity to serve others using my talents and abilities. I find profound joy in impacting and enhancing the lives of those around me. My legacy will be measured not in transactions, but in the number of lives I have touched and uplifted during my life's journey. I take pride in building relationships, and in being a catalyst that connects people, allowing them to flourish through the opportunities that arise from our connections. Because, after all, it is relationships that foster growth and opportunities across all industries.
My entrepreneurial spirit ignited at the tender age of ten when I launched my first business—washing cars in my neighborhood. It blossomed remarkably, rooted in trust built through the relationships I had with my neighbors. Those very neighbors turned into advocates and loyal customers, propelling my success solely through word-of-mouth and referrals—without signs, door-knocking, or any form of advertising.
This pattern of success has repeated itself: my house painting business flourished in the same way, as did my night club DJ & and mobile DJ services, which eventually expanded through the very networks I created. My foray into real estate followed this same organic path. Long before I formalized the principles of Working By Referral through my coaching at Buffini & Company, I was living and breathing them.
What I do is a thread that weaves through all my ventures, and it remains adaptable for whatever comes next. I am not finished yet, for I love what I do, and the journey is far from over!
