I doubt any pet is going to stand still long enough for an artist to paint them. I know Timmothy wrote this cartoon because this coming Sunday Carol, Timmothy and I are all going to a class (adventure) where we will be creating paintings of our dog, Baby.

I know I mentioned this before but as the day (Sunday) gets closer I get more excited. I sent the picture above to the teacher who will sketch it out on a canvas and then we students will add the color.

My daughter, Tina, and her husband gave us this gift for Christmas. Carol, Timmothy and I all have our own picture of Baby to work with. I will share the results with you next week.

I have some art skill Roy Kelley but I'm no match for my son or daughter.

As far as keeping warm we have one more day (Wednesday) of deep cold but we are to start seeing 20's and even 40's very soon.

That is very true Mark Don McInnes, Sandpoint-Idaho . I communicate with my dog pretty good but my daughter could easily compete with Dr. Doolittle.

Hi Bob... I love, love, love that picture of Baby. No painting classes for me... I'm terrible at it and it's really embarrassing as I have artists in the family, some of whose work has been shown in galleries.

Would be glad to help on the website! The key to painting great pet portraits, according to my wife, is getting several hi-res photos (easier than having the pet sit for the portrait LOL), and then concentrate first on the eyes for the painting. The eyes in the painting give the animal it's life.
