How Professional Photography Sells Homes Faster

By

Main Line and Chester County sellers looking to sell their homes are finding that professional photography sells their homes faster. As I was preparing to write this post, I wanted to use some non-professional photos, but I have been using a professional photographer for so long I actually could not find any in my files.

Dining room

A professional photographer can offer so many different benefits, from perfect balanced photos, 3D photo tours, drone photography that shows the setting of the home and even real video.

Obviously using a professional photographer to provide the list of options above takes time and costs money. But, as an agent I have found the investment well worth the cost. I cover the cost of photography for my clients as I feel so strongly about using a professional photographer.

Professional photographs are that bonus that creates a great first impression when buyers view your home on line. It allows them to see themselves in the setting, placing their furniture in the house. They can see the natural light, and the room sizes things that are important to most buyers today. They highlight the important rooms such as kitchens and bathroom.

Main bath

Using a professional photographer also helps with staging the home as they bring their eye and mention those things that need to be removed from the shot and probably from showings as well.

The photographer creates an atmosphere with the photos, think about those sunset shots of a home with the lights turned on, they create a setting that buyers can see themselves arriving home to.

So Main Line and Chester County homeowners do not miss this opportunity to sell your home faster as the photos online set the stage for showings, creating interest and demand for your home. Think of those homes with dark corners, little to no light in the photos, these do not encourage showings or offers. Like staging this is just one facet of preparing your home for sale in the marketing plan for selling your home.

Good morning Nick. Professional photography creates an incomplete canvas that lets the potential buyers complete it with their own ideas. Presenting the best first impression begins with photography. Well done. Enjoy your day.

Hello Nick - real estate marketing pulls together many different aspects of promotion.  Make a good first impression and hopefully a lasting one once they see the property for sale in person.

Good morning, Nick... with 95% of people starting their home search on-line, photographs are more important than ever. I've often said that a house probably has five seconds at best to capture the attention of an on-line viewer. After that, they hit the next button.

Professional photography is a must for each and every listing and certainly will draw more people to the home, which will lead to more offers being made for it.

There are a few agents who are great at photography but in general, hiring a professional photographer is the way to go!

Good morning Nick,

I totally agree with you that using a professional Photographer will make all the difference in the presentation of your listing. The photos taken creates a great first impression when buyers view your home on line. It usually is the first impression a buyer has of the home. I believe in doing what I do best (listing homes) and hire the rest!

Joe Mojica you only get one chance to make a first impression, it had better be a good one.

Brian England that is the ultimate goa, to get acceptable offers.

Kat Palmiotti we all have skills, we might as well recognize that and those we don't. Hopefully that professional photographer has the skills with their camera.

Dorie Dillard Austin TX we need to be honest with ourselves and recognize what our strengths and weaknesses are.

Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400 that really sums it up.

Hi Nick- I couldn't agree more with what you said. Before I got into staging, we were selling our own home once. The photographer saw what the camera sees. I remember when he photographed our kitchen and asked if he could remove the paper towel holder. Small thing but a big impact.

Kathy Streib my photographer has suggested moving things several times and putting other things away. Makes sense and they are usually good suggestions.
