By

How long are you required to keep your real estate files for in Georgia per License Law? But... how long should you REALLY keep them & why?

Do you still have your FIRST real estate transaction file?
What's the OLDEST transaction you still have stored?

In NC, we are required to keep files for three years. I keep mine for 10. And if a client who purchase a home with me is still in that home and has been there for more than 10 years, I keep that file even if it is more than 10 years old.
