Friday Flags: It Isn't Always the Sunshine State

We are in our last stages of the February escape and enjoying some of the warmth the state of Florida offers.  The weather has been a bit different, and we had some heavy rains as we as windy days.

One of the landmarks I travel past often is the Grande Lakes complex. which boasts a Ritz Carlton Hotel, A JW Marriott hotel and also the Championship golf course that surrounds the hotel.

As this complex is so large and occupies a corner location it is quite visible for some time.

The golf course is quite challenging and is of a quality that it hosts the PNC Challenged for the PGA professionals as a feel-good event with Father/son teams which has been opened up to the LPGA players and teams with grandsons as well.

On a better day while I was playing the course, on a complimentary voucher which at the time was a $300 round,

It was a different stage for a couple of days but has since gotten back to what feels far better than the frosty and cold CT weather.

Ed we were just down in Florida to catch a Spring Training Game, the weather was fantastic, then drove to Naples in pouring rain the next day, the day following another beautiful day as we drove back to Tampa to catch our plane.

North Dakota has two very challenging courses that are recognized by the PGA but I myself like the easier courses where this is a chance I might par the course Ed Silva, 203-206-0754 🙂

Ed Silva, 203-206-0754 - thanks for your update on your visit to the sunshine state and good for you for having the ability to golf on their amazing golf courses! Whenever I see a flag, I get sentimental. Are we the lucky ones to live in America?

I guess when it's all said and done, you can't control how you end up playing golf or the weather, but the fact that you got to your destination and gave it your best shots, you have a lot to be proud of.

Ed Silva, 203-206-0754

Patricia Feager   The reality of the vacation is life is short and no one should not try to enjoy something before it becomes too late.

Life, as we approach the end should be a matter of  'so what' and not 'I wish'

Ed Silva, 203-206-0754 - I agree with your philosophy!

As long as I'm still walking, talking, and remembering where I need to go, I'll keep on going, as long as I can to enjoy life.

May you continue to follow your dreams and make them come true.

Hi Ed- it isn't always the sunshine state but it sure beats the heck out of the cold uup north. When we first moved to FL it would rain every afternoon in the summer.
