International Cat Rescue Day was established in 2019 and is observed on March 2nd each year.
It is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of rescuing, fostering, and adopting stray, abandoned, and mistreated cats. International Cat Rescue day also highlights the efforts of animal shelters, rescue organizations, and volunteers who work tirelessly to provide care and find loving homes for cats in need.
It's often been said that you can't buy love, but you can rescue it. As such, International Cat Rescue Day also celebrates the joy of adopting a rescued cat. As the mom of many a rescued cat, I can attest to the joy of adopting. PLEASE ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!
