My 3 Day Vacation in Hell

Being cold is no fun. While I've never heard of a person being angry for being cold I can say it is a delight to be warmed up by another.

I needed a lot of warming up this past weekend. While I would not normally call a weekend a vacation I would call three days in a row with absolutely no work a vacation. So what do you call three days of the flu over the weekend? I'm going with the title of my post: My 3 day vacation in hell.

Lucky for me this was only a stomach flu, muscle aches were minimal. Oddly enough Carol caught it first and it only lasted a day. I say oddly enough because this is the first time I remember her getting sick in the 26 years I've known her. Today I am back at work and today Timmothy is out as it hit him last night.

Colds and flu are no fun. Just remember the best cure is

Do you enjoy the cartoons written by my son (Timmothy N. Timm) which I use as a springboard to write my daily posts? His strip, Titus & Philemon, has run in two newspapers for years as well as being printed in my blog every day. Titus & Philemon (pronounced Phi - Lee -Man) are guinea pigs. Their owner is Joe. Timmothy has never repeated a joke/comic strip in the 12 years he has been writing it. He has never copied another strip, such as Peanuts or Garfield. This morning has been so much better Michael Jacobs . I'd say I'm at 80% of what I should be and couple that with a nice spring "like" day I'm very thankful to be back at work.

Heating bills are tough on fixed incomes in our area. Once Carol retires we will really have to budget for it as some months are as high as $150.00. That usually is January and February. I'm glad we just got past that period Doug Dawes .

My wife Carol has been sick exactly one day since I've known her Carol Williams and that was this weekend. Then I followed but mine lingered all the way through yesterday. Timmothy is back on his feet today so he obviously was lucky to inherit Carols immune system. Thank you for your kind thoughts. 😊
