I always enjoy participating in the challenges hosted by ActiveRain. I am grateful that Patricia Feager and Lew Corcoran are hosting this month's challenge, thank you both very much for doing so. There are so many people who have had a very positive influence on my life and who I am, but I think for my 2nd post, I will write about Father Harry and The Presentation Sisters.
As many of you are aware, my Catholic faith is very important to me. It all began with my baptism after I was born, and then continued at Holy Angels Church and Holy Angels School. This is where Father Harry and The Presentation Sisters had a big influence on my life and helped mold me into the person that God wants me to be. I think I am still very far away from where God wants me to be, but at least I have a solid foundation thanks to my parents, Father Harry, The Presentation Sisters, and all of the other priests who have been part of my life over the years.
Father Harry was the pastor at Holy Angels Church when I was young and my brother and I served with him on the altar as altar boys. The Presentation Sisters ran Holy Angels School, where I was educated from Kindergarten through 8th grade. The lessons that I learned throughout the years at Holy Angels Church and School gave me a strong foundation to build upon to become what God wants me to be. I am still a work in progress and know that I have a long way to go before I am able to become what God wants me to become, but at least I was blessed with a solid foundation to build upon!
I could go on and on with many examples they set for me, but since I am likely already at my quota for this challenge, I think I will call it good for this post, haha. I look forward to reading all of the other amazing posts that will be included in this challenge!!!
