Friday Flags  A Hilton Head Island Flag along the Roadway

We're in the home stretch of our sabbatical and prior to crossing the Intercoastal Bridge to get onto Hilton Head Island we passed the entrance to the Hilton Head National Golf course.

The entrance is blocked and I learned that the course is closed and being developed as homesites.

The entrance still has the poles, and atop the poles were the South Carolina flag and that of our country as well.

After a morning of rain and spending some time at the outlets, it gave me a smile and the security of a tee time for the following morning.

Hi Ed,
Is the course closed permanently or are they developing home around the course? I know of a few other courses that have been closed permanently for homesite development. It's sad to those of us who love golf.

Good morning Ed. My best friend lives in Hardeeville, SC and when we visit we go out to Hilton Head. I have a vague recollection of seeing the flag in your photo. Thanks for the memories. Hit them straight and enjoy your round.

The RIGHT CHARLOTTE REALTOR!

Oh, I love this photo and know that you are so enjoying your time on HHI. We visit there at least once a year - it's one of my favorite places on the planet! While you're there, you must go to Burnt Church Distillery! Not only is the alcohol wonderful but, the dishes are cooked to perfection!

Have a great time and let us know if you're coming back through Charlotte - would love to see you!
