Celebrating St Patrick's Day 2025
This year St Patrick's Day falls on a Monday and for revelers every year Irish all over the world, and want to be's, celebrate with much enthusiasm the death of the patron saint of Ireland, who died on March 17. He was rumored to have driven the snakes out of Ireland, which would have not been conceivable as there were no snakes in Ireland.
As with all days of recognition, it has gotten to be highly commercialized and as my former very Irish brothers-in-law would say each year as they stayed away from their favorite drinking spots, 'A Day for the Amateurs, much like New Years Eve.
Regardless, with the day coming on a Monday, there will be lots of revelry and many an adult beverage consumed on Sunday, and Monday, while some attempting to work and the lucky few doing so from a remote location, it will be a very quote start
Yet some may well try to collect a second wind and maybe toast a few on the day itself.
Anyway, for those that will go out to celebrate, here are a few Irish Toasts:
God invented whiskey so the Irish wouldn't rule the world!
I'll have what the man on the floor's having!
May we get what we want, May we get what we need, But may we never get what we deserve. -Cedric
However it plays out, enjoy the day.
