DOG EAT DOG (willing to harm) TO GET AHEAD?

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with people first...then business Ran Right Realty 636943 licensed to thrill

Have you ever seen dogs, wolves lions & all the rest fighting over a kill? There is a pecking order as to who eats, eats first, & how much which is enforced with aggression backed by claws, teeth & bloodletting. The alpha makes itself known removing all doubt as to its superiority by dominance, fear & threat to achieve its outcome. Others know his boundary & either respect it or prepare for it to defend

WORTHY NOTE: We can learn from all things including the animal kingdom but not to become an animal or a better, more successful one

HUMANS DOING THIS?

Yes, us humans do this aggressively at times when pursuing wants & needs in the professional arenas. Competitiveness, motivation & will to succeed along with finishing what was started all allowed. But what if it comes down to a ME or YOU choosing? In other words, my opportunity includes harming you indirectly or?

WORTHY NOTE: "end justifies the means" was intended to stand & promote worthy, moral & rightness & doing whatever it took to do so. It does not mean to be cruel or mean to someone to get ahead.

ANIMAL BEHAVIORS

In the animal kingdoms, there are no courtesies, manners, conscience, ME first dynamics rule & are at play. Just pecking orders, food chain dynamics, Alpha aggressions, beta submissions & survival of the fittest. Have you seen humans do this? It's ugly, demeaning, righteous judgment food, & in a strange, bizarre way, acceptable. To Whom? Your fellow kind who is doing this. Dogs know their own

THE RAT RACE

The rat race set us all up for the potential "dog eat dog" episodes. The main category are the animal natures which can be seen or unseen, parasitic or outright vicious in their coming & goings. In both dog & rat worlds, they take no prisoners, eat the wounded & don't look back.

WORTHY NOTE: When TARZAN made a kill, he would put his foot on the animal & let out his whopping, roaring victory cry. He learned that from other animals

YOUV'E SEEN IT IN LESSER AGGRESSIVE FORMS

Ever seen people cut in line? Take something that they went out of their way to get? Parking space? Black Friday deals? Buffets? Outdoor events? Good seats? Items on sale? Pushy, shoving, rude & indifferent, behold Dog eat dog at large

WORTHY NOTE: When I see someone crying, upset, suffering & all the rest, & I had anything to do with it, being a man of conscience allowed me to never do it again

RUTHLESS AT THE TOP

It surprises everyone when they find out that anyone who has climbed a ladder to be where they are, was ruthless when necessary. CEO's Investor's, city, state & federal leaders will eat you alive to achieve their standing. Once attained, their rehearsed "softer side" comes out. However, cutthroat tactics lurk in the shadows

WORTHY NOTE: You see this in personal relationships that were never vetted or explore beforehand. Courting, testing & time were ignored. You wake-up the next day & wonder: what did I get into here? Divorce, pain & payback prove the point

GETTING AHEAD NORMALLY

Normal means not using any means to get ahead, accomplish or have but to allow it to come to you or when you inquiry correctly. The will, planning & win by any means is absent. You are given what you are seeking. This journey rewards the meek, the seekers, humble in heart & humility driven folk. It's their portion

HAVING & WANTING

These are normal dynamics available to all when they present & engage. Exceeding the portions is where the corruption takes note. How you go about getting something is more important than the getting of anything.

WORTHY NOTE: This subject is as old as time. The often & valuable "what if you gained the whole world (everything you wanted) but lose your soul (self) in the process, is no myth. The hidden cost is hideous & without mercy. It will eat U alive

EPILOG: My young wife said to me when we were first married: It doesn't matter what we have or don't as long as we have each other. This freed me to go about getting our needs met. My second breakthrough? Rice & beans! If all I had to eat was that for the rest of my life, I would not starve. My downsides & truth, freed me

Richard, your exploration of the "dog eat dog" mentality in both the animal kingdom and human interactions is thought-provoking. You've highlighted the contrast between instinctual behavior and the importance of conscience and ethical conduct in our professional and personal lives. It's a valuable reminder to consider the impact of our pursuit of success.

Hi Richie= something I've tried to pass on to my nieces is that material things will give you momentary happiness  but family, friends, other intangibles are what bring you lasting joy.

Good morning, Richie... I've managed to make a serious success of my corporate life (even when women were a rarity in my field and in executive management) and then in real estate without a dog eat dog mentality and without being ruthless.
