Like I said, Mainers are outdoors every day of the year enjoying the fresh air, clean water, the wildlife, taking in Nature.

Mud season in Maine. 

It's ice out and no more pond hockey or fishing five holes drilled in a Maine lake. Maple trees are full of running sap to tap and boil down into amber sweetness. Frost heaves and pot holes the size of a car show up right on time or unexpectedly.

Song birds flying back and two legged snow birds driving back from the sunny south. Winter is hanging on, spring is coming but we are one in in between both season in affectionately dubbed "mud season".

They are collected one by one lucky to live in Maine Patricia Feager. None AI generated and all home grown produced where I live in small town rural Maine! Living at a lake home part of the year and spending lots of time on a farm don't hurt the photo collection. Fun driving in mud.

As soon as I saw your title- my mind flashed to that scene in My Cousin Vinny- with Mud in their tires. I was a little disappointed not seeing you reference that scene- but that's ok because your post was great without it.

Mud season, the inbetween between winter and spring. Quickly got this video shot, edited, online within hours because everything around it now if new white snow that happens the tail end of a Maine winter.
